Sea LampreyFor several years now my nephew Matt and I have monitored a sea lamprey net for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife in a local stream. Here we take the sea lamprey measurements, weight and record any other fish or wildlife caught in the net. The Fish and Wildlife then use this data to monitor the populations to help better control them. We do every spring for about 8 weeks and gives us a chance to take a break from cleaning pens and get out and snoop around woods for a bit every day. I thought that I would share a couple photos of the net and lamprey. They are such cute little critters. Ya Right !
