Here are a couple of aerial photos to give you a feel of the zoo
setting. These photos were taken in the fall of 2006

This is the center of the zoo and the barn.

This is the zoo property as seen from the northwest looking
towards Lake Michigan. Hog Island can be seen just off shore.

Looking from Lake Michigan this is the zoo entrance off US-2

This is a closer look at the entrance
You'll find the drive along US-2 between St. Ignace and Naubinway
to be one of the most scenic in Michigan. There are miles and
miles of
sandy public beaches along the way.
When arriving at the zoo you'll find even the drive in to be a
pleasant one.
The zoo sits back in a few hundred feet off the the highway.
Keep your eyes open along the way in, deer, coyote, bobcat and
wolf have all been reported being seen on the driveway by
visitors. We have
also had a moose walk in front of the gift shop, down the
driveway and out to the lake. This was evident by the huge
tracks left along the way.

Here is a view down the drive before reaching the gift shop and
entrance to the zoo.
